DevOps Engineer

Job Description:
10th Magnitude is one of the top Azure Managed Services and Professional Services firms in the country, and our clients are looking for our expertise to help them manage their Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) workloads in Azure. If you have experience with supporting, deploying, or developing solutions in Cloud environments then we want to give you the ability to help grow and lead one of our fastest growing practice areas.

As a Managed Services Platform Engineer you will be a critical part of our core team and essential to the success of our Azure Managed Services division. You will be a part of a team that builds and maintains our monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions in Azure. 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute the design, implementation, and deployments of Azure monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions
  • Creation of software, tools, and methodology to ensure ongoing efficiency enhancements for the delivery of the Azure Managed Services operations
  • Creation and management of Azure DevOps Pipelines

    • Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years professional technology experience
  • Solid understanding of Azure Log Analytics or similar data lakes
  • Experience writing SQL-type language queries; ability to identify data required to produce desired results set and write efficient queries for same
  • Solid understanding of PowerShell, including the ability to read PowerShell documentation and create working scripts from samples
  • Solid understanding of JSON, including the ability to read and create JSON documents
  • Working knowledge of Azure technologies
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps Boards, Wiki, Repos and Pipelines, or similar tools
  • Experience with any programming or scripting language (e.g., .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, PHP, etc.)
  • Experience reading and writing ARM templates is desirable
  • Experience reading and writing Kusto queries is desirable
  • Previous system administration and support experience (Linux or Windows operating systems) is desirable
  • Previous experience with Azure-based deployments or other cloud platforms (e.g., CloudFormation) is desirable
  • Previous experience in a 24x7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment is desirable
  • Previous experience with Terraform templates a plus
  • Recent Azure Administrator or Azure Solution Architect certification is a plus
