SHE'D LIKE TO BE FLUENT IN: It used to be Spanish, but now it’s Thai. After Bibi and her husband sailed around the magnificent Thai islands in 2010, they fell in love with the people and the place. They plan to retire on a remote island somewhere in Thailand.
Bibi Petrovits, 10th Magnitude’s Vice President of Service Delivery, has always recognized the need for businesses to stay with technology. As the cloud evolved, she was thrilled to join the 10th Magnitude team where she focuses on building processes, applying technology and aligning the team to deliver the highest quality to customers.
Bibi started her career in application development and spent many years developing and architecting enterprise-class software. She brings a breadth of knowledge in software project delivery and methodology, but she is most passionate about process optimization and continuous improvement. Her philosophy: Don’t settle for mediocre; push to be great and excel at what you love doing.
During her career a consultant, Bibi mainly focused on leading large scale, multi-shore implementations. Prior to 10th Magnitude, Bibi added value at:
- JTC Corporation, Singapore
As a result, she is especially skilled in project recovery and realigning teams to optimize and increase project throughput. At one point in her career, she even specialized in project recoveries
With her “can-do” attitude, Bibi helps her clients solve complex business problems. “There is always more than one way to solve a problem – we must remain flexible,” she advocates. “If it’s not working, just try something else.”
Bibi also co-founded Surge for Water, a grass-roots non-profit organization that provides clean water solutions to hundreds of thousands of families in developing counties. She remains on the board and is a strong advocate for water conservation.
Outside of work, Bibi loves horseback riding and sewing, and occasionally gets dragged sailing with her sailboat-racing husband. Bibi and her husband also love traveling—visiting 8 different countries in 2010 alone.
